Nintendo 64: The Best Multiplayer Console?

There’s four plugs for controllers by default, which is way more convenient than the PS1/2 or any predecessor. Sure, you could buy an adapter, but it’s just much more convenient to have four player capability from the get-go. It also means that most games had four player multiplayer support, and developers spent more time refining the multiplayer component.

Exploded N64 controller; a study in reverse-engineering

“This was done for an [materials & processes] class I took last semester. The project was to reverse engineer a product and examine with what and by what means it was made. Instead of pasting the parts up on a board and labeling them, I thought this was a better way to present this particular product. It also has a nice sculptural appeal, I feel.”

Perfect Dark Coming To XBLA This Winter

Microsoft’s Larry Hryb just posted a little note on his Twitter account, saying that the original Perfect Dark – originally released on the N64 – will be out on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
According to Hryb, it’s running in 1080p, and will be out this “Winter”.
